Building

What I'm doing now

A now page, refreshed when the work actually changes. Last updated October 2026. If it's not here, it's not a priority.

Currently building

  • Every day

    Menuraq

The operating system for food businesses. The daily work right now is the unglamorous part: multi-branch operations, writes that survive a dropped network, and payments the way the market actually pays.

  • Growing

    Website products

Two portfolio systems, one for creators and one for photographers, plus the custom builds behind them. Smaller scope than Menuraq, the same standard of work.

  • Experimenting

    AI tooling

Assistants, agents and content systems. Most of these die in a weekend. The ones that survive the week get written up while the lessons are still fresh.

  • Shipped

    Small tools

Mettle, Orator and other short builds — voice-first practice tools that exist because a problem annoyed me for a week.

Currently learning

  • Distribution

Getting a product in front of the people who would actually pay for it. The half of the job nobody teaches next to the code.

  • Design under constraint

Typography, motion and restraint. The gap between a site that was built and a site that was designed is mostly what you left out.

  • How owners buy software

Two years of conversations with people who run food businesses, and what that taught me about scope, pricing and patience.

Experimenting with

  • Agents that do real work

    LLMs / Tooling

Not chatbots. Systems that hold context, take an action and show their reasoning — drafting, auditing, planning.

  • Voice-first interfaces

    Audio / Products

Speaking is faster than typing for practice and rehearsal. Mettle and Orator are where I test that idea.

  • Web experiences

    Motion / Typography

Type as structure, motion with a reason, pages that feel finished. This site is the longest-running experiment.

What's next

The goals this page is pointed at

  • Menuraq in daily use

Not pilots, not demos — the system a business opens every morning and closes every night.

  • A website practice that runs itself

Two products, a clear offer, and work that arrives because the last site spoke for itself.

  • Write more in public

The lessons are only worth something once they leave my notes.
